The Report was presented at the Association’s July 1911 Dartmouth meeting. It presents a pot pourri of fascinating notes and scraps of folk-lore from all over the County, received by the Committee since its previous meeting. These include, for example, submissions by Association members of pieces on alleged instances of witchcraft; an account of a remarkable court case from Bovey Tracey; beating the bounds at Buckfastleigh ,and a unique bequest from Holsworthy. The Report, from a copy of a rare and much sought-after journal can be downloaded from the Internet Archive. Google has sponsored the digitisation of books from several libraries. These books, on which copyright has expired, are available for free educational and research use, both as individual books and as full collections to aid researchers.
