The Report was presented in August at the Association’s 1894 South Molton meeting. A numerically diminished Committee had collected and tabulated an abstract of meteorological observations taken in the preceding year, relating to rainfall, temperature, humidity, and cloud, by several experienced persons scattered throughout Devon, claiming that their comparison afforded a better idea of the climatic variations in the different districts than might any generalization. This index provides a record of those observers participating in the project and identifies their observation stations. Those at Babbacombe were discontinued and Princetown returns were imperfect, owing probably to staff changes at H.M. Prison. A complete return for Plymouth was furnished by Mr. H. Victor Prigg, the Borough Meteorologist.nThe Report, from a copy of a rare journal can be downloaded from the Internet Archive. Google has sponsored the digitisation of books from several libraries.
