Gods Will Be Done Amen

 I, Richard Blackmore of the parish of Upottery in the County of Devon Esquire do make and ordain this to be my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say) 

First I give and bequeath unto Thomas Blackmore of the parish of Clayhidon Gentleman and Robert Farrant of the parish of Hemyock Gentleman both my brothers in law and of the County of Devon aforesaid my two estates called Southey both situate and being in the parish of Churchstaunton and County aforesaid paying one hundred pounds unto my Mother and one hundred pounds to my sister Joan Blackmore out of the aforesaid  Estates 

Also I give and bequeath unto Robert Blackmore son of William Blackmore of Clayhidon aforesaid my estates lying and being in Churchingford in that parish of Churchstaunton aforesaid called [ ] and Majors 

Also I give and bequeath unto my Mother my estate called Monsons Hill situate in the parish of Upottery aforesaid for and during her natural life and after her decease I give and bequeath the same estate unto my sister Joan Blackmore for ever 

Also I give and bequeath unto my Brother William Blackmore all my estate called Luxons situate in Upottery aforesaid after twenty one years next after my decease and to his heirs for ever but the said Estate Luxon to be let out at rent for that twenty one years next after my decease for the education maintenance and fortune of my daughter Mary Blackmore 

Also I give and bequeath unto Robert Farrant aforesaid and Robert Cook of the parish of Upottery aforesaid yeoman all my estate called Bearswell situate in the parish of Trull in the county of Somerset upon trust nevertheless and to and for that several uses ends and purposes hereinafter mentioned and declared of any revoking the same that is to say upon trust that they my  trust shall and do pay  or cause to be paid unto my dear beloved wife fifty two guineas a year and every year as long as she shall live and after her decease to and for the whole and sole use  of my daughter Mary with the overplus of the income of the said estate and her heirs for ever

Also I give unto Jane Mattock daughter of Robt Mattock of the parish of Pitminster in the county of Somerset one hundred pounds to be paid over when she shall attain the age of twenty one years out of my estate Luxon by my trustees aforementioned the same trust to have the management of all my Estate Luxon in  receiving and paying the same as out of my Estate Bearswell 

All the rest residue and remainder of my stock goods chattels and effects whatsoever or wheresoever or of what nature or  kindsoever I give and bequeath unto the said Robt Farrant and Robert  Cook whom I make and ordain to be my whole and sole Executors in Trust of this my last  Will and Testament after paying all my just debts funeral expenses out of the above said stock goods and chattels and effects as aforesaid and my will is if the stock goods chattels and effects is not sufficient to pay all my just debts and expences then the same should be paid out of my estate Luxon as fast as the income of that same shall be sufficient and if after the sale of my stock goods and chattels which shall be as soon as propiate after my decease several amount to more than my debts and expenses shall or then the overplus if any I give to my said daughter Mary Blackmore hereby revoking all former wills by me made and so ratify and confirm this to be my last Will. 

In witness whereof I the said Richard Blackmore the Testator doth hereunto set my hand and seal the twenty second day of November one thousand eight hundred and two Richd Blackmore 

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Richard Blackmore the Testator after the words with the overplus of the interest of the said Estate was underlined and this underlined also as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have subscribed our names as witnesses hereto at the request of the said Testator in his presence and in the presence of each of us W. Stocker Wm Gill The mark of Richd Pike 

 This Will was proved at London the seventeenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and three before the Right Honourable Sir William Wyatt  Knight Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissionary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted on the oaths of Robert Farrant and Robert Cook the executors named in the said Will to whom Administration was granted of  all and singular the goods chattels and credits of the said deceased having been first sworn by commission duly to administer
