"HORNDON (WEST), a parish in the hundred of BARSTABLE, county of ESSEX, 3½ miles (S. S. E.) from Brentwood, containing 45 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, united to that of Ingrave, in the archdeaconry of Essex, and diocese of London, rated in the king's books at £14. 13. 4. Thomas Newman, Esq. was patron in 1797.
